New Chanel Boutique Opened in ShangHai
Chanel new boutique opened on November 25 in ShangHai, the Paris of the East. The exact location is at the the newly opened The Peninsula hotel on the Bund, the waterfront promenade in Shanghai. Aside from the excellent location, the Peninsula hotel, as the latest addition to ShangHai’s luxury travel market, features charming Art Deco style.
In celebration of the boutique’s opening, Karl Legerfeld has designed a special product collection which is just available in Shanghai. The collection includes a classic quilted flap handbag bearing “Shanghai Karl Lagerfeld” signature inside and sling-back heels with a metallic CC logo. The collection also covers all kinds of clothes, for example, a tweed jacket and skirt with gold trim.
Inspried by the Paris apartment of Mademoiselle Chanel, famous architect Peter Marino manage to create a comfortable residential feel for the new Chanel boutique as as to give customer a special shopping expericence once entering the store of strong apartment flair. The hand selected art, antiques and other items are seamlessly blended into the refined store decor, and the customer can sit on the sofas and enjoy chic items handed to them. And you do not have to jostle elbows with other customer while browsing the products. According to Peter Marino, the shopping for timelessly chic Chanel items in the new store is comfortable and elegant more than you’d expect from Chanel.
And in my humble opinion, ShangHai where countless rich and sophisticated people gathers is a fitting city for Chanel to open more boutiques in the future.
