The new Bulgari Serpenti watch for 2010 reminds me of not a few other snake-inspired watches that were launched in recent years. To my knowledge, the “Temptation” may refer to the snake in the story of Adam & Eve.Regardless the name issue, the snake-themed watches from Maurice Laucoux are actually much more wearable than the Bulgari Serpenti watches.

The Maurice Lacroix Divina Temptation watch, sized at 24.5mm, comes with four versions, each is set with colorful stones that forms the snake on the dial and houses a Swiss quartz movement. Both the green version and the brown version  are limited to 10 pieces, while the red version and the orange version are limited to 30 pieces. Due the use of many stones, the reading of dial is in fact not very easy.But overall, these limited watches do tempts people.

The Maurice Lacroix Divina Temptation watches were launched a few years ago. And the price range is about $60,000 – $100,00 each. And I wonder who bought them.

Following last year’s big enrichment, Bulgari keeps making the Serpenti collection big with a brand new collection. Though it is listed in this snake-inspired collection, I feel this watch is not based on a snake. If I am not wrong, it should be inspired by an kind of worm that living in the earth. Personally I love the snake-inspired models much more than this worm-like watch.

The face of the watch looks like the head of a serpent, and it displays time instead of showing dangerous tongue. The dial, available in black or silver, is highly legible with a sapphire crystal as its cover. The tiny watch crown is set with a pink rubellite cobochon. And the watch itself is powered by a Bulgari B033 quartz movement.

Basically, this is another interesting watch with a design that is faithful to the brand’s tradition. And I believe fans of Bvlgari watches will be delighted to see such a new creation. But personally, I am not that into this watch as I do not like snakes or earthworms-they actually scare me.

Following the creation the new men’s models in the Classico collection, Ulysse Nardin has recently launched a lady’s Classico model that features an exotic bird made of jewels and colored enamel. And the rest of the dial is paved with dazzling diamond.Personally, the dial design does not grow on me. It is a bit gaudy and blase to me, though Ulysse Nardin must originally want to create an emotional lady’s watch.

The case, sized at 35mm, is crafted from 18k white gold. While I quite resist the dial design, I find the nice jewelry touch of this watch-The lugs and the bezel are also set with diamonds. I love the lug shape and the crown that has a ring of sapphires around it. And the watch comes with a blue alligator strap that matches the blue enamel and the sapphires perfectly. By the way, such color matching is very popular nowadays.

This new Ulysse Nardin lady’s watch is powered by an Swiss automatic movement that has a nice decorated 22k gold rotor. Via the sapphire crystal on the case back, you can have a very clear view of it. Personally, I love to spend more time in admiring the movement than the watch dial.

I expect that the next Classico lady’s model from Ulysse Nardin would be give more imagination and to be more emotional

I admit I have fallen love with Valentino this spring. And the following is part of my handbag list in Feb. 2010.

Valentino 360 have a very special position in my heart. I was deeply obsessed with red Valentino 360 Hobo last year. And now I find my new favorite- Valentino 360 Embroidered Shoulder bag. I am glad that today’s designers still play the lace art tastefully. The bag itself is crafted from stone fabric and is overlaid with off-white straw floral embroidery. Like other Valentino 360, it has a large beige leather bow that serves as a fold-over closure. The leather stamped logo plague is found both on the back and the satin-lined khaki interior. There is a zip pocket inside as well. Overall, it is beautiful and elegant, very nice choice for a lady. It goes for $1,195.

It is weird that I do not like jewelry that shines too much such as diamond ring. But I like shiny bags. For example this Christian Louboutin Lolita Mirror Shoulder Bag-not sure why Louboutin calls it “Lolita”. But obviously, it a born eye-catcher.It will sure bright up the wearer’s overall outfit and mood. And I think not every one can handle it. By this, I mean only women of exceptional style can match its extraordinary splendor.

Sized at 19″W X 14″H X 4″D, it is actually very large. It features double goldtone chain straps that match its copper-mirror-effect material perfectly. The lining is read satin. And there is small wallet made of same material of the bag inside.

A fabulous handbag like this should be matched with fabulous outfit. So it is terribly wrong to have casual ensemble when you carry this bag. The retail price for this bag is $995

And I spot a Christian Louboutin bag that I can carry to attend evening wear. It is the Christian Louboutin Mia Satin Evening Bag which is quite simple yet elegant. I really love its clean lines that makes it a perfect accessory to go with an evening dress.

Sized at 8″W X 6″H X 2½”D, the little bag is lined with peachy-red satin and has classic logo plate and a small pocket inside. The adjustable goldtone chain is very exquisite and durable. The bag also comes with the classic Louboutin heels and other shiny hardware. The retail price is also$995.00.

As world famous crystal watch maker, Swarovski makes nice fashion watches as well. The Octea watches launched last year impressed lots of people with the excellent design. They were beautiful fusions of the brand’s superb crystal craftsmanship and ladies’ sport watches.My brother loved the design very much , but unfortunately  Swarovski did not make a men’s version.

For 2010, Swarovski has come up with a new Octea model featuring an orange tone which is nicely applied to the dial, bezel and the strap. The new watch, sized at 39mm, is crafted from stainless steel and has a number of crystals set in it. I think its rotating diver’s bezel is really unique to the watch world with Swarovski crystals on it. The watch design is basically the same as previous models, but the watch itself looks much more sporty. The swan logo at the 12 o’clock position is always my favorite details. Now it looks same attractive in orange. And there is another Swan logo on the crown as a cabochon. The watch is completed by a  steel bracelet or a rubber strap. Both straps  have been set with faceted stones that set off those on the bezel. Beating inside the watch is a Swiss quartz.

I am sure few women can refuse a sporty, cool yet affordable watch like this. And men can also take it home if they do not resist those faceted stones. As far as I know the Swarovski Octea Sport watches normally goes for about  $800 – $900 in price. And I think the price of the new model will be in the same range.

Watch brands put a number of effort, money and time to create new case shapes and dials that are nice-looking and interesting. Nothing is impossible especially when it comes to ladies watch field

.Well Nina Ricci has created the N030 watch that features elongated lug and small ellipse case surrounded by another bigger ellipse. What is more, there are at least six different strap options available. I think the reason behind these so many options is that Nina Ricci want to make owners of N030 feel that the watch they have is unique.

The N030 watches are powered by  Swiss Ronda quartz movement.The dial is covered by a mineral crystal with special sapphire treatment that ensure better resistance to scratches. But I think this collection need a better name to match the beautiful designs.

It does not server as the crown, which is integrated into the case at 3 o’clock. The smooth bezel features a stone section near the crown. The dial, having machine guilloche engraved pattern, is further decorated by naturals stones. There are lots of options for the decorated stone including smokey quartz, rhodolite, citrine, amethyst and diamonds. The one decorated with diamonds is the most expensive and luxurious model. The dial loos pretty cool with the guilloche pattern and the Ferragamo logo.

The new Salvatore Ferragamo Gancino Charms ladies watches are powered by reliable quartz movements. I think they will be sold at the Ferragamo shops with expensive price tags.
