After the Chaumet Jumping Hour watch that stole the Only Watch 2009 auction, French watch maker Chaumet releases Chaunet Dandy watch as the Arty Edtion, in either stainless steel or 18k rose gold. These Dandy watches are powered by the the CP12V-V or CP12V-III automatic movments exclusive made for Chaumets watches. Through the sapphire crystal window at the case back you can see the distinct Dandy rotor with fine decoration.
The look of Dandy watch is quite enchanting. It has some very interesting features. Firstly, it has new cushion shaped case whose dial and seconds subdial stand out of the smooth luxurious face with sleek edges. In particularly, the small seconds subdial does not included in the main dial. Instead, it sits side by side with the main dial with intricated sunburst pattern. Secondly, four lugs come with brand-new structure that I have never seen on other watch brands. And they do look great and well match the shape of the case. Thirdly, the race strip that runs through 2/3 of the dial and also makes its way into the straps. And least but not least, to keep the sleek line of the case, the crown is located at 12 o’clock position rather than standard 3 o’clock position.
With innovative design and fine looking, Chaunet Dandy watch can be regarded as another classic of French watches, though the name “Dandy” is not very decent in English.
