It seems that Van Cleef & Arpels put lots of time and effort in staying on track. It has created some new timepieces for its 2010 collection. These new watches come with artistic touch that is complex, intriguing and exceptional. But as far as I know, the Van Cleef &Arpels watches for 2010 do not house any new movements or include any mechanically complex pieces

The ladies Extraordinary Butterfly watch collection, for example, is more more artistic in nature than horological. It contains 5 models of different designs on the dial. And each model is limited to 8 pieces. And the names of these watches are Parvana, Vanessa, Euthalie, Kimama and Caligo.

Fitting the collection name, each model features a beatutiful butterfly with amazing form and colors. And the pictures you see above do not do the real watches justice. The dials, just like stained glass windows, are three three dimensional in nature. And they are ,in fact,  not made in glass. Instead, Van Cleef & Arpels applies a unique  enameling technique to create the breathtaking images. And the effect is so beautiful that it is very difficult to put down these pieces.

The Extraordinary Butterfly watches are uniform size at 38mm and are done in 18k white gold. The bezels and lugs are set with dazzling diamonds to set off the beauty of the dials. The luxury style continues on to the strap buckles that are sets with diamonds as well.

Beating inside the watches are Caliber 830P automatic mechanical movements.And the Extraordinary Butterfly collection is expected to hit stores soon.
